Jonah Crab Meat Crab Cakes  

4 servings  

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg  

  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning  

  • 1/2 tsp thyme leaves  

  • 2 Tbsp sautéed onions  

  • 1/2 tsp roasted garlic  

  • 2 Tbsp Tartar Sauce  

  • 1 tsp mustard  

  • 1 lb picked Jonah crab meat  

  • 3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs  

  • 1 Tbsp butter  

  • Tartar Sauce for dipping 

 


Instructions:  

 

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the egg, Old Bay, thyme, onions, roasted garlic, tartar sauce, and mustard until well blended.  

  2. Gently fold in the crab meat until evenly coated.  

  3. Add the panko and mix again until fully combined.  

  4. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape into crab cakes.  

  5. Sauté over medium heat for about 4 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy.  

  6. When nearly done, add the butter to the pan and baste the crab cakes on both sides for extra flavor.  

  7. Serve hot with tartar sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
